How to blow your mind with power
I want to blow your mind with insights about emotion and emotional power. But to hold this kind of power, we have to choose to be neuropsychologically mature.
Don't you see that if it was easy to be powerful—to be authentic, to be confident, to be non-judgmental, to be calm in the face of uncertainty—everyone would be?
The path to power hurts. The path to power hurts.
If you are in serious pursuit of more power—more resilience, more self-trust, more connection, more influence—you will get your feelings hurt.
Stop acting surprised. Plan for it. Decide if you can handle it.
Your triggers are the precise energetic line between non-activation of potent emotional energy vs. expansion. Chronic avoidance of triggers is not safe. Who told you this? No one with any actual neuropsychological expertise.
So, I have 2 questions:
Do you want to talk power with me?
Do you understand that there are different levels of conversations—there are conversations that we need when our personal psychological systems are truly under siege and there are conversations when we are ready to rise? These are 2 different conversations and both are entirely excellent.
If you want to be ready for rising but you're actually still in need of psychological wound care, do the wound care! Therapy is magnificent. Validation, in moderation, is fine. Not feeling dysregulated every second of every day is essential.
But it's *you* who must decide which conversation you're ready for. It does you no good to be bothered by other people who are ready for a different type of conversation.
There comes a time when some of us say, enough with the healing, we're ready for the rising.
There comes a time when we decide, we’re no longer willing fix problems. We’re here to change consciousness.
Tomorrow, we enter a new conversation.
